Summary
Part of one of the biggest global betting groups with excellent horse racing coverage and one of the biggest in-play bookmakers I feature. Fully recommended except for those who do cross-sport multiples with horse racing.
Unibet are part of the Kindred Group. Kindred are a global betting organisation which operates 11 brands and employs over 1500 people in 11 countries across the globe. Listed on the Swedish stock exchange and generating an annual gross winnings revenue of £912.6 million (2019) they’re one of the biggest gambling companies in the world.
Their sports betting site, with the exception of their horse racing offer, is operated by Kambi – a white label solution which also powers large brands such as 888sport, Grosvenor and Mr Green sportsbook. It’s a great site with simple navigation and has one of the widest range of in-play betting opportunities I’ve seen.
Their in-house horse racing section is relatively new and you can see a lot of effort has been put in to its development. Odds from racecourses around the world are supported by live streaming, with UK racing benefiting from their “always on” coverage with no need to bet to watch it!
With racing and sports betting operating on separate platforms, a cross-sport multiple including racing isn’t possible which is possibly my biggest issue with the site. Their promotions such as “15 To Go”, which awards a free bet if you back a winner of selected races during the 15 minutes before the off, and their Best Odds Guaranteed feature do help me overcome that issue however.
